Esther Kim Varet discusses both VSF’s Hollywood relocation and her vision for the new Johnston MarkLee designed gallery in a number of recent write-ups.

“I want the gallery to become a sculptural object,” Varet explains to W Magazine journalist Michael Slenske. “I want it to feel alive.”

Meanwhile, Christopher Wyrick asks for Art in America:

“Does the transition to a larger space in such a high-profile new location feel like graduating to the big leagues?”

“It doesn’t, really,’ Varet said. ‘If it was laid out in a book, my first two years in Venice would be the introduction. And this would be chapter one”
